Sagging

Extra! Extra! Read ALL About It!

People of all ages are doing it: The controversial sagging pants. Pants sagging below the waist while exposing your underwear to the public. Is that freedom of expression to show a point or simply trying to be a part of something you don’t fully understand? Some people think it’s cool and others just shake their heads in disgust. How do you feel?

If you go to a job interview with your pants sagging and underwear showing and didn’t get the job, would you be disappointed? Would you feel discriminated against or judged for no reason? Would you consider it discrimination for someone trying to maintain a professional appearance in the work place?

I'm sure everyone at some point has been victimized by surprisingly seeing someone's underwear in an unappealing situation. For instance, I remember going in a restaurant on a Saturday evening to get my grub on. A car pulled in ahead of me and since they had kids I was courteous enough to let them get out first. As they all got out, the dude came around to help get the children out of the car. But, this dude had his belt tight around his thighs holding up his pants revealing his underwear. He was headed inside to eat. If the manager would have politely asked him to pull his pants up or he couldn’t come in, would the manager have been right or wrong? I don't know what happened but if you were the manager, how would you have handled this? Everybody has an opinion.
