Every Day is Thanksgiving
Over the past few months we have endured so many things that should open our eyes to how important life, family, friends and just a normal way of life really are. This Pandemic has really had an effect on the entire world. Let’s take a moment to reflect on a few things.
Occasionally we give thanks for what we have and the things we have overcome. But when we think about it, Shouldn’t every day be a day of Thanksgiving?
The traditional Thanksgiving is a time of year when families get together at Big Mama's house or the place that has been designated and eat all types of foods, socialize and talk about old times. Laughing and joking about all the bloops and blunders of the past. It's also a sad occasion for some because of loved people that have passed away.
Although it’s an emotional time, it can also be a time to look back on the precious memories. Our minds and hearts are different so no one can truly know how your heart longs for the absence of someone. I’ve learned that being thankful for the time that we have shared with someone or being grateful for the things that we have But remembering the great times and not the loss will ease your heart.
So why can’t everyday be a day of thanksgiving? Every day you open your eyes is another opportunity to begin again. Yesterday may have been disastrous and nothing worked in your favor but you can regroup and try again. That’s why it is important to be grateful for every day.
Also we should be thankful for the people that are in your life. You should cherish the moments because life changes every second, minute, hour and day. . Now let’s be realistic some days are definitely better than others. We shouldn’t expect life to be perfect but we can believe that things can get better.
You should be able to remember the blessings all year round and not wait until Thanksgiving Day.
Remember, Happy Thanksgiving 365 days a year.
