Take A Chance Someone Might Just Listen

Where can we start? What can we do? I’ve often ask myself that question. Over the years I have had so many ideas and didn’t do anything to make them happen. The end results no plan no action.

I started my website to express my thoughts and maybe I can help someone at the same time.  We lives our lives trying to be prosperous and successful but what do we do to pass the knowledge to someone else.

True story, one day I was at my place of employment and this young fellow was coming in for an interview. I noticed when he was getting out of the car he was not prepared for a professional interview. Let me explain. There is always a controversy about stereotyping someone which I was not doing at the time. He had dreads which was fine but you couldn't see his face. He had a nice shirt but it was not tucked in. Why you may ask? Because the waist of his pants were by his thighs and he needed to cover his exposed areas. My initial reaction was to ignore it and continue what I was doing. If I would have done that what kind of example would I have been. At first I was a little reluctant because I didn’t want to offend the young man. So I walked in his direction and spoke to him to test his attitude. His response was, I am fine Sir, How are you? That was all I needed to hear for me to know that he would be receptive. These days you have to be careful how you address people. Continuing on I suggested to the you man to put something around his dreads to hold them together. Then I suggested that he pull his pants up and tuck his shirt in. I really didn't know how he would respond but he ended up thanking me. He said no one had given him any advice concerning his interview. The end result he got the job. Before he left he ask the receptionist if she knew me because he wanted to thank me for taking the time to give him that advice.

Was it his fault? That's not the issue. The Issue is are we willing to encourage, inspire and direct in order to educate our generation? What are your thoughts?
