A Cry For Help

I’m about to scratch the surface of probably one of the most sensitive of all times. A cry for help. Understanding the emotions of others can be very misleading. Many times during dark days the frown behind that smile can not be seen. Society has pressured us into thinking that needing help to deal with stressful situations is a sign of weakness. That is very opinionated. The key is finding that person that will be able to listen attentively without judging or forming a negative opinion.
For instance, I know how you feel is the wrong reply to a person that has just finished laying there inner most thoughts on the table. People deal with life’s issues differently. Most people rather keep it all inside instead of letting it out. The thought of coping with life on our on seems like the simple solution. Is that really the best option?

Some people are stronger than others so we must deal with emotions on an individual basis. Emotions cloud your mind and make it difficult to rationalize things. That’s when the pressure increases and things get stressful and panic or depression may or may not occur. We should not assume the emotional response of someone’s situation based on how we might handle it.

However all is not lost. The first thing we should do is look the situation from all angles. Decide whether or not there are possible options that can resolve your issue. Sometimes the answer is so simple. On the other hand the solution can be very complex. The next plan of action should be, Is there someone that can be trusted and discreet that can be confided in? Getting another perspective sometimes give us the opportunity to think things through. That will give you time to slow down, breathe and relax so you can come up with the best possible solution. Hopefully the outcome will have good results.

With all the things going on in the world we all need an outlet. Family, friends, counselors are a few. Having faith in God and believing in the greater good may be the most effective. Learning to love yourself and believing that you are someone special is always a step in the right direction. These are just my thoughts what are yours?
