Spreading the Message COVID -19 Is A Reality

The Corona Virus, or whatever you chose to call it, is REAL!

As we observe activity all around the United States, people are still taking this illness for granted. When COVID-19 first hit the scene we were all looking at it as just a quick distraction that was just going to blow over. Even some of our people in high place said it was going to just magically disappear. But here we are, months later, and the Corona Virus is still affecting people in record numbers.

Thousands of people have been quarantined, hospitalized and some sadly didn’t recover. So when are people going to start doing their part to stop spreading this virus? Even in situations where masks are mandatory, there may be about 50% of the people wearing mask. If you don’t think that is accurate, take a look around the next time you go out in the public. You can even look on social media. There are so many parties going on daily where there are hardly any masks being worn or even less social distancing. Check out those beach videos. Everybody is carrying on like everything is normal. Places like Walmart and grocery stores are other places to observe.

Many have this mentality: “If I’m going to catch it, I’m just going to catch it.” Is that a true statement? Isn’t it possible that you can put yourself at risk by not being safe? During this Pandemic, we should all hold ourselves accountable. If everyone does their part individually, maybe we can turn these positive test into some negative results.

There are skeptics that may say: “How can a mask prevent me from catching the Corona Virus?” Is that really a necessary question if you are trying to use all possible measures to protect yourself? Of course staying home and away from people is the most effective, but if you are going to be out there in the public wouldn’t you want to try to protect yourself?

Now, briefly, I will elaborate on another perspective: “I will trust God to take care of me so I’m not worried.”

That is a true statement. In all we do, we must trust God to the fullest. Does that mean I should not wear a mask? Everyone has rights and everyone has an opinion.

Well, here’s mine.

While I’m trusting God to keep me covered he also says to use wisdom in all things. If wearing my mask will minimize my risk of catching the virus, of course I’m going to wear it. Does that mean I don’t trust God to keep me covered? Of course it doesn’t mean that. Some people may want to reference the Hebrew boys in the fiery furnace. They trusted God to deliver them from the furnace. They also knew that if he didn’t, it was not because he couldn’t.

Key point to this:

The King wanted them to bow down and worship his God and they refused. That’s why they were put in that situation. I am believing that he will keep me covered but I’m wearing my mask because it is a simple thing to do. Also, there are situations where masks are required. If rules are broken, we have to except the penalty. Wearing a mask is not that hard, unless in those critical situations where one may have health problems. If you fall in that category, be careful of the people around you.

Everybody has an opinion about to mask or not to mask. Let’s be smart and protect ourselves as well as others.
